ORIGAMI is a metaphor you'll only get if you've been through some dark dark times in your life. Nothing is what it seems.

Born in Poland and growing up in Holland, Gia Koka is a rebel with a cause. Losing her younger brother in an accident, while fighting deep depression and eating disorders throughout her teenage years, the singer/songwriter/producer’s free-willed approach to life shines through her music. Drawing from raw life experience, her lyrical palette is emotional yet edgy and sometimes a little bit dark. Gia embodies her fight for self-love and acceptance with a lot of attitude and provocative honesty.
''I was so miserable growing up. Always looking for something or someone to complete me, to give me the love I never got. Until I found it in myself. I am beautiful, exactly the way I am. Crazy, chaotic, creative, emotional, imperfect. That's freedom. Now I want the whole world to get free as well.'' she says.
Her feature in the track “Not Going Home” with electronic duo DVBBS is growing on the Billboard Charts with 75 million plays on Spotify alone. While Gia crafts a solo debut EP, her first single is set to release in July 2017. Gia’s music has over 100 million streams on Spotify as a songwriter and featured artist. She also landed on the Top 10 Airplay chart in Canada, Top 20 Billboard Hot Dance USA and has won the Golden Award in Canada.
Never being afraid to be bold and to say what's on her mind, this attitude is the driving force behind all that she stands for, which the world is about to become familiar with.
