History of Underground Music

Underground Music Star - Lucid So Looney

Underground Music has been around for years. Developing in the late 1970's as some Disco music of the Era was seen as too much for parents and politicians, With the musical world taking then what were looked at as massive changes, disco became almost taboo. When the music became taboo the underground music scene was born. From there it spiraled from metal and hip-hop, to rap and Horrorcore. Over the years our views and concepts have changed a lot.

With common music the term Underground Music is often used to represent subjects of current industry genres that may not be as popular as mainstream music. Today we often see different streams of rap and rock music fall into the Underground Music category.

From the likes of ICP, Twizted, The New York Dolls and many others.
