“I literally wrote the words to this song on a rooftop in Brooklyn,” says Versus The World singer/guitarist Donald Spence. “I was visiting some friends in New York and we were passing around bottles, and catching up on some years we'd missed out on. I think everyone has people in their lives that they love, but time or distance, life in general really, has taken you to different places. It's just important to remember that the only currency relationships really run on is time spent. So it's a song about catching up. One of my favorite nights ever.”

“A Brooklyn Rooftop” follows the band’s previously released debut track “The Santa Margarita,” which pays tribute to fallen friend Tony Sly (No Use For A Name) and features guest vocals by Dave Hause.

Versus The World will be performing two album release shows in Southern California before heading to Europe for a tour with Strung Out in late June and July.
