How to drive more traffic to my facebook fan page

Marketing Tactics:

As a musician, often you are starting with very little startup funds, and very  contacts. If you have both money and contacts even better for you, if not, we can still teach you how to succeed. As a musician marketing is huge. A lot of people will tell you to spend money, to become well known. We suggest simpler avenues.

Social media marketing:

We are in the age of social media marketing. This to most means post, post ,post, post. This may work, but will generate a lot of one time viewers whom, may often get annoyed with your random posting, and can often lead to getting seen as spam.  We often suggest a more time consuming process, but it does help you meet your actual goals.  When using a Facebook musician page, a lot of people create a page and spend 10 minutes designing it and expect to become famous. I’m sorry but you have a better chance winning the lottery. When using social media marketing one of the most successful ways I have ever built a musician or band is what I call the “ Renegade Process”. This process breaks down the business plan  I have created , that has lead bands and musicians from 50  fans to 50,000. This isn’t a get rich quick scheme. This is a step by step building process that provides proven results.  Through the next few months I will release a bit of this plan every few day’s for you to use to build your music, and business into the next level.

Step one: Creating a successful facebook band page.

1.)    Create a Facebook fan page, you can do this by looking at any facebook fan page on the site, in the right hand corner that will say create page.

2.)    Define your page, give your music page a short description that will draw in fans. If you’re a rapper trying to get your name out in Detroit, a short description like “ Detroit rapper “ So and So” is bringin hot new music, right to your speakers, may catch a targeted demographic.

3.)    Once you have the page info filled out, and a baseline set in comes what I love to call quality design. Take the time to create a facebook header, and profile image. You can use sites like www.picmonkey.com and upload any photo, go to crop and scroll down to facebook header size and click. Then you can change the color and prepare to create a header

How to create a quality header:

4.)    Once step 1 – 5 is done create a few photo albums make your page have some content for people to see. Here is a page we created that has over 5000 likes, check out the design work

https://www.facebook.com/UndergroundNation?ref=hl  this site may not be everyone’s favorite but it just goes to show success can be possible without spending a dollar on advertisement’s.

5.)    Use the add friends button, use the add friends button on your page to add all of your friends, this allows a notification to go out to each added user letting them know to check out your page, which you can then link back to your website.

6.)    Create an event. This part can be one of the most tricky but most resourceful methods around. As a musician or band , create a custom header with the event name, maby even a picture or two, and always add a your website to this header such as below.

9.)    Once your event header is done, make the event, I usually hold events for two weeks. In the event I usually write something like the following,

Check out “ Your Band”. New music coming out. Check out our Facebook page and share with friends.  We are dropping new content “ Daily, weekly, monthly”. Check us out and be sure to tell your friends and share our site!

10.)    Now invite all of your friends to the event, and ask a few friends to log in and invite their friends as well.

11.)    Once you have created a base for your event, be sure to post multiple links with different wording to insure max flow to your page or site.

12.)    This should be a great start, and stay tuned for more information on how to become successful in the music industry!
